From the beachfront to the business district, Belmar is a great shore town to explore on bicycle. Two of the best places to rent bikes when you're vacationing in Belmar, New Jersey, are Jersey Shore Bike Rentals right here in town and Shore Riders Bike Rentals out of Point Pleasant Beach. Biking On Belmar Boardwalk
Once you rent a bike in Belmar, if you want to ride your bike to the beach, Belmar provides plenty of bike racks at every beach entrance. In peak summer season, bike riding is permitted on the Belmar boardwalk between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. only.

Where Else To Ride Bikes
If you want to bike outside of Belmar, the Beachcomber Blog recommends the Edgar Felix Memorial Bikeway in Manasquan, New Jersey. This 5.5-mile paved bike path is part of the New Jersey Capital to the Coast Trail, a mixed-use network of trails that spans 55 miles from the state capital in Trenton to Manasquan in Monmouth County.
The Asbury Park boardwalk is another favorite day trip destination on the bike. From Belmar to Asbury Park, it's about a five-mile ride hugging the coastline north along Ocean Avenue.
In Asbury Park, popular sights include the historic Convention Hall and Paramount Theater, the Stone Pony, and the Wonder Bar. You'll also find a wide variety of restaurants to fuel up for the ride back to Belmar. Beachcomber Blog recommends Langosta Lounge and Pop's Garage on the boardwalk and Porta Pizza a couple of blocks west of the boardwalk.
