With new owners taking over last April, I was excited to give F Street Social Craft Pizza & Kitchen another try — and, boy, am I glad I did!
The Russo family — Tony and his sons, Tony Jr. and Gio — have been thoughtfully expanding the original menu, keeping the crowd favorites while layering in their own signature touches. One standout is Tony’s Calamari: freshly cut rings, fried crisp and tossed with hot peppers, dried cranberries, cherry tomatoes, and warm goat cheese, all pulled together with a glossy sweet‑chili drizzle. It’s distinctive, sweet and spicy, and exactly the kind of dish that tells you the new F Street Social team is cooking with heart and intention. F Street Social serves both lunch and dinner, with an deep and diverse menu that includes appetizers; homemade soups; big salads; sandwiches; charcoal-grilled burgers; pasta, meat, chicken, and seafood entrées; family-style meals; and house-made desserts. There's also a $12 kids menu and $14 mocktail menu. The pizza menu at F Street Social in Belmar is equally as vast, with your choice of ultra-thin crust or hand-tossed thin crust. Pizzas come in two sizes, a 12-inch personal pizza or the 16-inch large pie. All pizzas are cooked in a specially designed wood-burning oven imported from Italy.

In addition to traditional Margherita pizzas and white pies, the signature pizzas at F Street Social include options such as Berg's Pastrami Reuben pie; pepperoni with imported hot honey drizzle; Garden State primavera; buffalo chicken; Grandma pie; vodka-sauce pizza with add-on chicken or shrimp; zesty arugula; pesto pie; chicken or eggplant Parmesan pizza; and plain pizza with ala carte toppings (pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, peppers, onions, extra cheese, pineapple, ham, bacon, meatballs, chicken, jalapenos).
During a recent lunch visit, I ordered the Chicken Gio sandwich, grilled chicken served on a tender hero roll with housemade roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella, and a slice of grilled eggplant, topped with balsamic glaze. The sandwich was fresh and flavorful, and I took home half the sandwich to enjoy on a salad for lunch the next day.
F Street Social has a front dining room with tables along the wall and high-top seating in the middle of the space. The room is framed with a large garage door that opens to Main Street for outside dining when the weather is nice. The restaurant also has a spacious party room that can be booked for private events, as well as first-come, first-served counter seating at the bar adjacent to the main dining space. Dinner reservations are recommended, and food may be ordered for takeout.
Located at 1002 Main Street in Belmar, New Jersey, next to Flames Brazilian Steakhouse, the restaurant's name is a nod to the early days of Belmar's downtown business district, when Main Street was originally known as F Street.
I’m already looking forward to going back to F Street Social for dinner, and it’s absolutely a spot I’ll be recommending to guests staying at the Blue Hydrangea Beach Cottage. It’s the kind of local place that makes Belmar feel special — relaxed and welcoming, with great food and friendly service. Thank you, Tony, for your hospitality!
