When the warm weather beckons, you have plenty of choices for outside restaurant seating in Belmar, New Jersey.
In addition to Belmar’s popular waterfront restaurants, such as Klein's and Marina Grille, you’ll find outdoor dining options in the downtown business district, as well as along Ocean Avenue and Main Street.
For example, Simply Southern, Sonny's Grille, Mr. Greek, Kotta Sushi, and 10th Avenue Burrito Co. are among the eateries in locally known “restaurant row” that have tables in the Belmar Plaza parking lot.
Along Main Street, Sweet Tease Tea Room, Stay Gold Café, F Street Social, Flames Brazilian Steakhouse, and Comfi of Belmar are some of the numerous casual eateries in Belmar with sidewalk seating. Federico's Pizza and Italian Restaurant and Anchor Tavern have covered patio seating, as does Boathouse Bar and Grill.
The BYOB El Rey Mexican restaurant, located at 1006 Main Street in Belmar, has a large courtyard behind the building, where you can dine al fresco under a majestic 300-year-old cottonwood tree. La Sierra Mexican restaurant, 1621 Main Street in Lake Como, New Jersey, also offers outdoor dining on a small covered patio adjacent to their building.
You’ll also find sidewalk and patio seating at some of the downtown establishments on 10th Avenue, including Federici’s on 10th, Jack’s by the Tracks, Beckman’s Deli, and Kaya’s Kitchen. In nearby Pyanoe Plaza, Brandl restaurant has tables outside, a great spot to watch the Friday Night Concert series in the summer.
Beach Haus Brewery, on the corner of 8th Avenue and Main Street, has an open-air deck with outdoor seating that overlooks downtown Belmar. Hooked Café near the Belmar Train Station is a cozy little breakfast and lunch spot with tables outside in Belmar Plaza.
Both Bar Anticipation in Lake Como and D'Jais on Ocean Avenue are popular Jersey Shore bars with outdoor dining.
Overlooking the picturesque Shark River on Route 35, Rajin' Cajun is accepting reservations for seating times between 4:00 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. On 4th and Ocean Avenues, La Terrazza and La Dolce Vita Italian restaurants have covered outdoor seating on their patios, as well as open-air sidewalk seating (reservations are recommended for La Dolce Vita).
If you plan to visit one of the restaurants mentioned above, please call first to make sure they’re open and find out what their guidelines are for indoor and outdoor seating. Some restaurants accept phone or online reservations, but others are not taking any reservations and are first-come, first-served only.
Many Belmar restaurants also offer takeout, curbside pickup, or delivery – again, it’s best to call first to see what options are available before you decide on your dinner plans. Menus, pricing, hours, and all other details vary by establishment and are subject to change.
