Family Fun at the Belmar Kite Festival
Updated: a day ago
The Belmar Business Partnership has canceled the May 3 Belmar Kite Festival due to budget cuts. The fall 2020 date is currently tentative. Please bookmark this page and check back for updates. Visit our Events page to see what else is happening in Belmar, New Jersey.
Plan a family outing to Belmar beach on Sunday, May 3, and Sunday, October 4, 2020, for the Belmar Kite Festival, presented by the Belmar Business Partnership. Bring your own kites to fly or come and enjoy the spectacular show put on by members of the South Jersey Kite Fliers and the Passing Wind Kite Club.
The Belmar Business Partnership (BBP) started the Belmar Kite Festival eight years ago to showcase the business community along Ocean Avenue.
"The kite festival such a great event. Everyone loves it — adults and children alike," says BBP President Sal Marchese. "It's a great way to focus on Belmar as a year-round destination for family fun, dining and shopping."
During its kite festival in fall 2018, the BBP was thrilled to see NJTV News Correspondent Lauren Wanko on the beach, interviewing Mike Dallmer of the South Jersey Kite Fliers. See the video from www.njtvonline.org at the bottom of this story.
Admission to the Belmar Kite Festival is free. Kites and bubble wands will be for sale at the event. For more information, contact the Belmar Business Partnership at 732-894-9022.
